DENVER– As the lone Major League Lacrosse team in the Western United States, the Denver Outlaws Lacrosse Club understands its role in growing the sport of lacrosse and giving young players the chance to enhance their lacrosse skills in a professional and fun environment. Through its various programs, participants of all levels will receive top-level instruction and learn to live, act, and play like a pro! The Outlaws Academy is a fully-integrated training and development program for youth lacrosse players, ages 7 and up, with the sole purpose of cultivating lacrosse players.
The Denver Outlaws Academy will be hosting a variety of exciting events for the upcoming 2014 season that will include a clinic series, the Faceoff Classic Youth Tournament, a lacrosse camp and an open tryout.
The 2014 Youth Clinic Series:
The 2014 Youth clinic series will be hosted and run by the Denver Outlaws in locations throughout both Colorado and Oregon. The Youth Clinic Series will focus on developing and improving aspects of the game of lacrosse, for all skill level of players.
The Youth Clinics will be instructed by both Outlaws players and coaches, who will be focusing on player development stressing growth by establishing and reaching individual goals. They will also be creating a competitive and fun learning environment that prioritizes player’s skill development over winning. Beyond the field instructors will also be instilling values and life-skills that benefit players outside of lacrosse: teamwork, discipline, commitment. All of this will be done with the overall goal of growing players’ lifelong passion for the sport of lacrosse and The Denver Outlaws.
The 2014 Youth Clinics will be available to all boys in grades 3rd-8th and cost $30 per participant. The April 6th clinic and June 8th clinics, will be open to both boys and girls.

The Denver Outlaws 2014 Faceoff Classic – Youth Tournament :
The Denver Outlaws will be hosting a team tournament in Denver on July 12 and 13, 2014.This youth tournament is open to boys teams in the following three divisions: U13, U11, U9. Each team is guaranteed at least 5 games (4 Round Robin games and 1 game of a seeded single elimination tournament).
The Faceoff Classic will be held Saturday July 12th- 13th at Denver's South High School, including All City Stadium. The first day of the tournament each team will play 3 of the 4 round robin games that will decide the placement of each team in the seeded tournament. The final day, July 13th, will conclude with the last game of the round robin followed by the Faceoff Classic’s seeded tournament.
The Cost for each team will be $1500 dollars, which will include a minimum of 5 refereed games (50 minutes in length) and a commemorative Outlaws Academy gift.
Space is limited. Teams will be registered on a first come, first serve basis. A $250 non-refundable deposit is required to hold a spot. Full payment must be received by June 15, 2014.

The Denver Outlaws Open Tryouts:
The Denver Outlaws are holding an open tryout on Sunday, March 30 at Foothills Sports Arena. General Manager Tony Seaman and Assistant GM, Jon Cohen, will be looking for players to fill out their 40-man preseason active rosters for Training Camp, Practice Squads and potentially their 25-man regular season active roster.
The tryout will consist of a brief combine where players will run through competitive skill drills and game-like situations followed by a scrimmage.
The Tryout will be held Sunday, March 30 from 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM at Foothills Sports Arena (3608 S. Kipling Parkway, Denver 80235). Check in will be at 9:00 AM and the tryout will begin at 9:30 AM.
The cost of the tryout will be $150 dollars per participant; this cost will cover both lunch and a reversible Denver Outlaws Academy pinnie.
This open tryout will be limited to 44 players, so make sure to register today.
